Candy Floss Machine - Fun For Kids And Adults Alike!

Looking for a candy floss machine?  A candy floss machine can be fun for the whole family, not just the little ones.  They’re not only great for birthdays or parties, but they can also just be used casually over the weekends when you feel like having a little tasty treat.

Now when you’re looking to buy a candy floss machine, you have to figure out first how serious you are about getting a quality machine, the reason I say this is because there are plenty of them out there, both those created as toys for children and those created for professional industry use.
I’ll be going over a few of those with you right now so you can determine what kind of candy floss machine is right for you:

1.  Nostalgia CCM505 Cotton Candy Maker

This is a cotton candy maker which can be found on Amazon, it is more of a “toy” machine as it is a pink antique cart looking design that is designed to sit and look pretty on a counter.  The machine is 13x13x13 inches and weighs only 7 pounds.

As far as how it operates, it has a warm up time of about 2 minutes, and doesn’t need any cool down time.  It comes with good sized cones of candy, you can make some decent sized cones of cotton candy with it(compared to other toy units). The machine can also run for a long time without overheating.

One issue though is that the machine has an exposed spinning metal disk which can be dangerous if you end up getting hair or clothing caught in it.

As far as clean up goes, most of the sugar is kept away from the heating unit in the center so that doesn’t get all messed up, and the bowl can be removed easily to clean out in the sink.  Cleaning out the bowl is simple since the cotton candy is only sugar and will dissolve in water.

As far as a toy cotton candy maker goes, this is probably as good as it gets, you’re going to have to deal with the common issues with toy machines such as it being slow to warm up, having a low output of cotton candy and a toy sized bowl without a cover.

This machine will only cost you about $50.97 which is a huge savings from the professional units.

2.  Paragon Spin Magic 5 Cotton Candy Machine with Plastic Bowl

Here is a more professional machine, which comes with a more professional price tag at $586.  The machine is 26x16x16 inches and weighs in at 42 pounds.  It has a switch to turn on the motor, another to turn on the heater and a knob to control the heating temperature, it also has a very large basin with which to collect all that cotton candy.

This is a candy floss machine you would want to get if you need to serve many children at say a party, it can serve up the floss quickly and in mass quantities, the quality of the candy is just like that you would get at carnivals or festivals.

If you can afford this candy floss machine, go for it, otherwise the cheaper toy brand might be a safer bet.
